All About Easy: December Gems

If you’re anything like me, Scrapbooking is my sanity. When times are busy and holidays come around, scrappin’ becomes even more important to me as “Stress Management!” When times are packed with things to do, we need our hobby, and still want to get a little bit accomplished, right? We have the answer this December! Scrapbooker’s Club House proudly announces the December 2008 “All About Easy: December Gems” featuring stress-free scrappy-projects posted by Guest Contributors! Starting on Tuesday December 2, twice per week, you will be shown a fun and easy project (“a gem”) that you can create in 1 hour or less. Not all projects will have a holiday theme. There will be nothing complicated or convoluted: this feature will have you completing some easy projects even though times are busy!! SBCH Celebrity Guest Designer Q&A Chat

Announcing December’s Celebrity Guest Designer and a Celebrity Q&A Chat!!!
Scrapbooker’s Club House is proud and thrilled to announce that Canadian scrapbook artist, teacher and designer for Maya Road, Upsy Daisy Designs, and Scrap In Style TV, Andrea Wiebe, will be our December Celebrity Guest Designer! We will be treated to her creations all month long!

We also invited Andrea to participate in a “Q&A Chat” at Scrapbooker’s Club House. To our delight, she said it sounded like fun and she’d be happy to answer questions!

Scrapbookers Clubhouse Guest Designer Contest

Are you Scrapbooker’s Club House’s next “Guest Designer?" Each month at SBCH we will be choosing from your entries to see who our next Guest Designer will be. Sound interesting? Read on!

Here are the details:
Thanksgiving is just around the corner. This holiday usually involves family gathering for the big meal so we would love to see altered items for the table. Ex. napkin holders/rings, altered vases, place cards, candle holders etc.

Upload your entries in the “November Guest DT Contest” Gallery with your NAME before the Deadline: Sunday October 26, 2008.

The winner will be SBCH GDT for the Month of November and will receive a Kit of the month to create your designs. Your creations will then be posted in our Guest Design Team Gallery. You will also be able to participate along with SBCH Design Team in posting a monthly challenge to SBCH members.

“Mark your Spot Remarkably” Contest at Scrapbooker’s Club House!



Scrapbooker’s Club House has a fun contest this month! We challenge you to design and submit up to 2 bookmarks for this contest. Bookmarks will be judged by a Librarian and the prize for our winner will be YOUR CHOICE of a back issue of Canadian Scrapbooker magazine, mailed right to your door!!



Here are the rules!



1. Contest runs from August 13-24, 2008.



2. A winner will be chosen and announced on August 25th, 2008



3. Bookmarks can be NO LARGER than 10”x 2.5” each.



4. You can create and enter a maximum of two (2) bookmarks.



5. You must use all of the following products, and ONLY these, in creating your bookmark: -cardstock -patterned paper from your scrap pile: please don’t cut into a new piece! -stamps/ink -buttons -chipboard



6. In creating your entry, please remember that the bookmark must be functional! ie: it must be able to be used as a BOOKMARK in a bound book or magazine.



7. Upload completed bookmarks to the “Bookmark Contest” file in the Scrapbooker’s Club House Gallery. Link: http://www.scrapbookersclubhouse.com/gallery/ Tip: Files must be NO LARGER than 1024 kb to upload properly.

Wow, what an exciting week this has been! I've been sitting on pins and needles at Scrapbookers Clubhouse waiting for the announcement of their new Design Team, and guess what!!! I made it. I am one of the fortunate 4 who made the Design Team! I'm so excited to get started and my creative juices are flowing freely!

I would like to congratulate my fellow Design Team members, Mary Chong, Jennifer Cowle and Allyson Bright-Meyer! Congratulations ladies! I think we're going to make an amazing team! Also, congratulations to Lee Brehon for becoming the Guest Designer for August at SBCH! Ladies, your work is stunning and I can't wait to see what we bring to the table!

I would like to thank Nicole, Noella and Ali for picking me and giving me such an amazing opportunity!

To the outgoing Design Team, thank you for your months of fun, inspiration and challenges. We have, as Mary says, "huge shoes to fill"! You are all fantastic!!

Time for an update I think!!

Wow, its been a little too long since I updated.

So, a few new things have been happening. My second youngest son and my nephew graduated! Only one left!!! Unbelievable!

Don't they look handsome!! I know, I'm biased :).

I've been at my new job now for two months already! Time really flies. I love the job so much.... There are a couple of things that would make it even better, but we won't get into that...lol.

I've applied for Design Team member at SBCH!! That is so exciting, been on pins and needles since I sent in my application. These are the layouts I did for the contest. (one is an existing layout, that is one of my all time faves)

So thats pretty much the new stuff. (I know...yawn...boring...lol)

I'll try and keep updated a little more frequently....feels like I forget way too much if I'm not writing this stuff down. (think thats an age thing??)

Hello and welcome.

Well, this is my first attempt at blogging. I really have no idea what I'm doing, so please bear with me while I figure it all out...:).

I've linked some of my favorite places to visit on my blog and really hope that you visit them all. Scrapbookers Clubhouse is my favorite place to be. Its full of great people, great ideas, a ton of fun and information. Every month is something new, great challenges to get you motivated and some amazing kits to make your creations.
